The land of rosebuds and handcraftiness

'Tis been about a week since traipsing the Pacific Northwest, and a magnificently swell time was had. I adored our stopover in Portland for the metrohub's impressive cleanliness, green-efficient lifestyle, and winsome handcrafty culture. Take a worthwhile gander about the sojourn in nitty gritty detail here!

Till the forthcoming post on Seattle, toodles!

Uppity up and away

I shall be these forthcoming 4 days in the metrohub of crafty folk & rosebushes and the city of raindrops & coffee junkies...right after an evening in the City of Angels! Thank you Lord for swapping cyclonic workweeks with weekend intermissions, specifically, one in the Pacific Northwest. Have a grand long weekend, chummies!

Mushroomville of mine

So very close I was to holding off till I got the entire new line up and running, but my impatient self couldn't resist sharing a smidgen.Behold, the spankin'-new Play Pouch series crafted from vintage feedsacks circa the early 1900s, painstakingly upcycled into a hefty envelope clutch-type dealio lined with protective batting and vintage repro fabric accents for life's playthings (keys, phone, moolah, lip gloss, the works!). Oh, and the whimsical splendor of the Mushroomville appliqué is accomplished by freehand machine embroidery. I love working with tried-and-true feedsacks that served a particular purpose in the early days and now finds another...HUZZAH for upcyclove!
This shall be listed in the shop soon soon soon! And I'll be unfolding more whimsies as the days go by!
